This is a one-year course that covers all the major areas of chemistry. It starts with a description of the composition and property of matter in terms of atoms and molecules. It follows by introducing the basic chemical principles including the atomic and molecular structures, states of matter, reactions, chemical equilibria and kinetics, thermodynamics and electrochemistry. In concludes with the description of chemistry in life, environment and material sciences.
